Anyone cook with Tofu? A question.

I have the Firm Tofu. I want to cook it up with some peppers and onions and stuff for Fajitas. Does it hold up fairly well? I'm cooking it in the same pan as some chicken for everyone else and was afraid of it falling apart into a million pieces and ruining everyone else's food.

  • It probably will.  I usually stir fry with extra firm.  You should dice it into the sized pieces you want and season it and let it marinate for a while.  Then toss it onto the heat for the last few minutes of cooking, just to make it warm.

  • I usually use extra firm too but firm will probably be okay.  Make sure to pat it dry with paper towel before cutting it.  I try to get as much water out of it as possible.  I like mine a bit crispy so I roll it in corn starch before cooking it in oil for about 7 minutes on each side (on high).
