Depo shot and DH

So I got the Depo shot for birth control. I coached Dh about how to give me the shot in my hip and he said he was ready. After 10 minutes of me leaning over the table he finally got the nerve to do it and stuck me with the needle and then freaked and pulled it out.. Then he felt horrible cause he saw the little drop of blood. I finally talked him into trying again and he did it no problem. I have to pretend its not sore cause he was so scared. But he did a good job and I need him to do it every 3 months to avoid having to pay a 25 dollar copay for a nurse to do it.?

    Have you tried the arm instead?? I find it much easier and we give depo in the arm all the time.

    fwiw Depo will usually leave people a little sore regardless of who/how given.
