1st Trimester

11 & 12 weekers - how are you feeling?

Just wondering how those who are close to reaching the 2nd trimester are feeling? I'll be 12 weeks in a few days and I've noticed the ms/nausea has pretty much disappeared (thank god!). I'm still tired although not as exhausted as a few weeks ago, and I now feel pings/stretches in my abdomen from time to time throughout the day. Can't wait for next week's appointment when I hear the heartbeat and have an ultrasound. At that point, I hope I'll really be able to start to enjoy everything and worry/obsess less.

Re: 11 & 12 weekers - how are you feeling?

  • I'm really tired and am still on meds for m/s. They are helping, but I can't wait until I don't need them anymore. Other than that, I feel great.

We heard a nice strong heartbeat on the doppler on Monday morning..it was nice : )

  • still tired. no longer sick.  not feeling any stretching inside but i'm already showing. booo, my dr said it would happen faster but this is ridiculous.  i guess my uterus is already stretched out :(

the big thing for me is that i feel less anxious than i did for the past several weeks.  that's made a huge difference.

  • My hunger has increased significantly this week....I literally could eat all the time.  Starting to piss me off because my clothes are starting not to fit because of my expanding thighs and butt, so I can't even blame it on the bloat.  But when I don't eat, I feel sick.  I'm still pretty tired too.  I'm looking forward to getting back home (I've been taking care of my mom for a month) so I can get back into a workout routine.  I hope that helps with the energy.  I have an appt on Tuesday and hope we can hear the hb on the doppler (not having an u/s.)
  • I'm feeling good, actually.  I'm not sick much anymore (only when I don't eat something) and I'm getting my energy back finally.  Ha...now that I have energy I have to make up for the cleaning that I've slacked on the past few weeks...and now I just lack the motivation.

    Overall, no complaints here, really.

    Hello, EDD partner!

I feel the same way, not as tired, and since yesterday I've had that pulling and tugging feeling, which is awesome! I love to know that we'll be showing very soon.

We heard the hb last week, and it was amazing! You're going to love it!! We took our camera and recorded it, and our family has really enjoyed being able to hear it. Try to do the same thing. Even if you don't share it, it'll be a very cool keepsake.

  • I am thankfully finally starting to get some energy back. I 'm staying up until 9:30 instead of going to bed at 8-8:30 so that is an improvement! I do feel pulling in my lower abdomen area when I stretch and I can no longer button my pants. The belly band and I are friends...
  • ignore my ticker, I'm actually 11 weeks 1 day. the M/S is much better, but not completely gone... my sciatic nerve is KILLING me (like last time) and I still get stuffed easily... which blows

  • I am feeling pretty good.  As others have mentioned still a little tired and nauseous, but it seems to be getting better.  I am also getting a lot of pully stretchy feelings and I am noticing my bump is truly starting up now.  I also have an appointment next week.  Actually 2, the NT U/S and my general monthly check in.  Can't wait to see baby as a fetus.  Last U/S was only at 6 weeks.

  • I am feeling much better than I did the past few weeks. Still a little tired, but not to the point where I want to sleep all the time. I still get a little nauseous at times, but it is slowly dissaperaring. You will love hearing the HB and seeing your little one. I got to a few weeks ago and have been in love ever since. I too have been having the stretchy feeling and me and my husband noticed within the past day my tummy has gotten much bigger and it is not all soft and squishy anymore
  • Around 11-12 weeks, I was feeling pretty good. I thought my m/s was over for sure. Yeah, until I threw up a banana and a glass of milk this morning.
  • I am exhausted. I think I could really sleep through most of the day. I also have no motivation to clean, cook, work... :P I've started walking again (4 miles/night) and I have more energy when I do that but I have to make myself!

If I don't eat I feel nauseous... other than that, just waiting until our appointment next Friday (12 wks!!)

  • I noticed my m/s and also food aversions going away. I still can't stand looking at uncooked meat or eating beef. Weird.

I do feel exhausted here and there still.

  • I had no m/s in the beginning, now I feel a little nauseous now and then.  Really tired all the time, but that is more due to the fact that I have a fifteen month old!  I am so excited to move on to 2nd tri. and have my NT scan next week to see the little Kermie!
I don't know what's up with my siggy and I am too lazy to figure it out.

I feel just about exactly the same as you do.  I thought I was home free at 10 weeks, but then I had kind of a bad, nauseous day on Monday, but I've definitely felt better the past couple of weeks.  And earlier this week I was feeling pretty crampy too.  That's gone away now.  My appointment is on Tuesday, and after that we will be spreading the news even more than we already have. :)
  • I'm still tired but maybe a little less than before.  Not as nauseous as before, but still an issue sometimes.  I am STILL STARVING ALL THE TIME however and it makes me crazy.  I'm waiting for that magic morning when I wake up and all the tired and nausea are gone.

  • Doing pretty good.  Still tired, but not near as bad as a few weeks ago.  Moring sickness has calmed down some.
  • I really haven't had m/s much, but the nausea is dying down. I'm also not quite as tired, but not completely back to myself yet...this could also be due to waking up 2-3 times a night to pee. lol.  I had the pulling/stretching feeling in my lower abdomen this morning when I was on the treadmill.  Glad to hear others are having this, it kinda made me worry but of course when I feel nothing I worry too! Huh?

  • Starting to get relief from morning sickness finally. Today I haven't been nauseous at all.

Pretty much how i'm feeling right now.

  • I am exhausted, but the nausea is gone so that is a godsend!
  • I finally started feeling better this week at 11 weeks.  My hunger has also increased in the last couple of days which has been great.  Since 5 weeks eating has been something I've had to force.  I'm still pretty tired and my pants are getting tight!  I found a cute pair of maternity pants for work and bought them today.  I hope to keep in regular clothes a little longer but it's nice to have them around Big Smile Also heard the heartbeat this week and it does make you feel A LOT better!

You're the first person I have seen with the same EDD as me!

I am feeling okay.  I am not as sick as I was but I am getting worn down quicker than before.  The problem is, I don't think about it during the day and by the time night time rolls around, I feel like I have been run over.  There's not much I can change, though.  Chasing after DS is a workout!

  • I'm just tired a lot, I work 12 hour night shift which has gotten harder since being pregnant. I feel like I have a realy strong gag reflex all of a sudden or situationally. My dogs new bag of treats make me gag and when I'm at work some of the hospital smells get me going (i.e. patient's poop!). I didn't have hardly any m/s throughout but the last couple of days I've had a few waves of it. I feel like drinking something fizzy (diet sprite or ginger ale) helps and eating a little something. Not fitting into clothes so much anymore and looking for maternity wear!
  • The exhaustion is getting better, and the frequent peeing has calmed down a ton! I'm actually sleeping all night now, which is great, but am having more and more problems falling asleep at night. Thirst has decreased a ton, but m/s is still going strong, and my libido is just starting to reappear.

I'll be really excited when the m/s goes away and my libido is all the way back!

  • Just started feeling better - nausea has died down, but I still can't stand the sight of chicken. Exhaustion seems to be fading into plain tiredness as well so I am going to get back to working out from today out Smile . My back and legs have been aching - maybe from a lack of exercise? I'm still in the lost weight set, but I can see my lower stomach beginning to get larger and I can feel those stretchy ligaments as well. Don't think I'll need new clothes quite yet though!
