Did your toddler get a fever with 2 year molars?

Liam has seemed fine and isn't displaying any symptoms of being sick other then sucking on his hands and drooling like crazy, pushing on his jaw with his fist. ?He just woke up from his nap burning up and had a temp of 102.3 rectally. ?Does this sound like molars or is there something else going on. ?I gave him motrin and he seems okay otherwise, maybe a bit lazy but I am indulging him in snacks on the couch and tv time and lots of fluids. He isn't one to pass up on that pass time anyway.

  • Teeth temps are low grade, like 99ish.

    102 is sick.

    My thoughts exactly.

  • DS had something similiar last week.  He had a fever (102-103 pretty high) and no other symptoms.  He acted sick for about 1/2 a day and that was it.  I considered teething, but I wasn't sticking my fingers in his mouth, and I have heard teething temps are more low grade.  He was fine the next day.
