MN Moms GTG: Let's pick a date!

I have only heard people express they wouldn't mind going to one of the lakes and doing a potluck-like thing! So! What we need to do next is to get a date and time set!

Please reply with the date/time that works best for you and what you think you'd like to bring! We (Adamswife and I) will take care of beverages and eating utensils/plates, etc., so no need to worry about that! I also have a propane camping grill (pretty good size) that I can bring, so how about we keep the pot-luck to side items and each person bring their own meat they'd like to grill?

I am also thinking Lake Harriet would be a good spot! There is a play area near the lake on one side of the lake that the little ones would enjoy, if they're old enough (for those of you who are familiar with the lake, it is near the split between Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun)!

Also, please keep in mind that if you can't make one of these dates, we're hoping to host other get-togethers, so please don't worry if you miss this one. I hope this to just be the first of many!

Thanks, ladies! Please reply by the end of next week (7/19/09) so we can get an idea of how many are possibly coming! I hope to give you all a 'head count' by Monday, July 20th!

(Note: I am pretty open on the Saturday dates for times, so if you'd like it later than 12pm, please let me know! We'll do our best to pick a date/time that works for everyone!)

Update: Feel free to bring your DH/SO if you'd like! Not sure how many guys will be there, but it's a good chance to meet other couples as well as other moms!

I can do July 27th (I'm pretty sure I'll have that day off work), August 7th or 14th (as long as it's okay if I'm a little late) or August 22nd.

Saturday July 25th, Saturday Aug. 1 or the Fridays at 6pm are probably doable for me. 6pm gets late for us getting home-with a toddler anyway keeping a bedtime schedule is nice-but we could make it work. doubt my hubby would come, but my daughter and i probably would! we like to explore and have fun!

I am very bad at picking dates, so I will go with the consensus (we don't plan much in our house so most dates would work). It'd be nice to bring DH's if it were a Saturday too

Just so all know, I added an edit above: DHs/SOs are free to come if they wish! Not sure how many will actually be there, but it could be a good way to get to know other couples -- first time parents or not!

Keep letting me know the dates you want! :-)
