Just because most people start feeling movement around 18 weeks, don't freak out if it takes you longer. I didn't feel any movement until 23 weeks, 2 days. People made me feel like something was wrong when I hadn't felt anything back in 19 weeks. Imagine how terrified I was when I still hadn't felt anything at 23 weeks?
I found at at my ultrasound last week that I have an anterior placenta which made it more difficult for me to feel the baby kick. I never had flutters, but that first time I felt him/her move it was a definite kick and totally worth the wait!
The first time I was CERTAIN I felt flutters and bumps was 17ish weeks.
I felt my first full fledged kicks (Hulk kicking as I call it) at 23/24 weeks... it was this past weekend. They could also be felt from the outside at this point even with my anterior placenta
This is my first baby. I started feeling tickles and flutters at around 14 weeks, but wasn't sure they were the baby until they continued and got stronger over the next two weeks. I started feeling real kicks and jabs at around 18 weeks, and now I can feel other movements in addition to more kicking, like swishes and wiggles and squirms!
I have been waiting so long to feel him move, and it finally happened yesterday (at 20W5D). My placenta is anterior, so I think that is why it took so long. Ever since yesterday, he has been kicking like a maniac, I LOVE IT!
Re: At how many weeks did you feel baby move?
i've been feeling this "tickling" feeling all day today.. but i'm not 100% sure its baby. i'm hoping it is.
if it is.. then i started feeling at 17w5d.
I just felt the baby for the first time today at 17 weeks exactly!
