Did anyone's DH/FI/BF get them a "starting a family" gift?

Or am I just lucky? Last night FI surprised me with a beautiful white gold and diamond ring which has a double band leading into 3 heart shaped diamonds. He said it sybolizes that the two of us are now becoming three. I was a crying mess (hormones and such). I am just so happy he was sweet enough to think of something like that. (Far cry from my douchebag ex-husband). Anyone else have sweet stories to share? I'm extremely tired and hope to stay up by being happy and smiley. (Need to pick FI up from train station at 12:20....grrrrr)

    Awww how sweet.  Mine just wants to talk to my stomach all the time...I keep explainging it but he doesnt listen.

    You're just a lucky lady :) How sweet was that of him! No, I never received any type of "push present" or anything like that from DH, but I feel like he spoils me from time to time with clothes and other things (he even surprised me w/ a car we'd been looking at the other month).

    Wow - I think your husband needs to talk to mine =) Although he didn't get anything sparkly for me, I came home to red roses and a sweet card on the day that we found out... it was a nice little surprise.

    I'm getting the talking to the stomach thing too. All the time! I'm like "baby can't hear yet!" but it's cute so I let it go as long as it doesnt wake me up. I'm glad he cares so much. He always has to say good night and good morning to the"lima bean". lol.

     

    As for the next post of which I am completely jealous, he surprised you with a new car?!  What an amazing DH! (a little jealous)

    It's sweet to see that everyone has such great men. Now I can tell my single girlfriends that good men do in fact exist and there is more then like 4 of them in the world. lol.

    You wouldn't be too jealous if you saw the beater Jeep I'd been stuck with ;) Plus, we knew we'd be trying for #2 and liked the idea of a station wagon, and Volvos are super safe. It's also used since we don't believe in buying a brand new car.

    All of your DHs sound so sweet talking to the bellies! It's always amazing how much the guys change- they're such softies :)

    You're just lucky. Our first pg, dh got me a present, but not this time around. I'm kinda glad, it's hard to see the first gift.

     I am going to be SAH when the baby comes. It's going to be a burden on my H to be the only one providing for us financially.  I consider him providing for me to stay home with our kids as the ultimate gift.

    That really is wonderful Mrs. W. I will be a SAH too and I can't even imagine what a huge responsibility that will be to FI. Especially with the job market the way it is now and he's lucky to even be employed in his field. That really is the ultimate gift. To be able to spend all of your time with your little bundle.

    We are on a pretty tight budget, with no room for shiny things.  He did buy me a beautiful orchid plant though.

    How sweet! DH hasn't gotten me anything, but since this is an IVF baby that we paid for out of pocket, I'm not expecting anything. I am being treated to regular back and foot rubs though. :)
    TTC#1 since Mar 2008. Serious MFI due to cancer. 3 cancelled IUI's, just about every test in the book. IVF#1 - BFP! Twin girls arrived 2/5/10 at 35w2d. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
