update on my twin mommy friend

surgery went great on twin B. Twin A was fine and was set to go home with mom today. Now she has jaundice and has to stay at the hospital and her mom is being discharged. Now she cn't touch either one of her babies beause the one she came out of surgery and is in the isolette at the nicu and recovering from surgery and the other one is under billi lights.

I feel soooooooo bad. She's just crying and crying. I feel so helpless.

she is bustin her ass trying to nurse but baby won't latch and the nurses explained to the LC that "she was too tired to nurse" which is notthe case, she is exhausted from basically have TWO c-sections, having one baby at another hospital who went through major surgery ...I mean geez give her a break!!!

    Aw, I am sorry for your friend, however when DD was in the NICU they let me hold and nurse her out from under the bili lights any time I wanted. Obviously I did it as little as possible because I wanted her to get better.

    alex has jaundice too and was in the nicu but I could only hold him for feedings and it was only a few minutes.

    he was under lights for 3 days
