While enjoying our crisp, cool midwestern vaca (morning lows: 40s, daytime highs: 70s, wardrobe: jeans and sweatshirts) I kept hearing how blasted hot it was down here. ?But I'd forgotten, until our return late last night, how HOT 100 degrees feels. ?Personally?I don't mind the heat so much, but it's definitely limiting with DS. ?Not a whole lot we can do outdoors with 100+ temps. ?Not to mention I've got full on m/s and the heat....not so much helpful.?
Is it fall yet?

I dont think we did.
Remember 2 summers ago with all the flooding? I don't miss the flooding, but I miss all the rain amd mind temps!

Yah. I tried to walk the dogs at 10PM last night, after the sun set. I got about half way around the block before my fatty fat dog decided she was done and just laid down on the sidewalk. Clearly, she had figured out how stupid I was.
And at 90 degrees I was thinking, "You know, this really isn't so bad. Why do we complain so much every summer?" UM YAH. Huge difference between 90 and 105. Ugh!
I rarely LOL, that this made me do it!
I have to say we've been going nuts, inside, ourselves, but did get out with DH tonight to Deep Eddy and it was WONDERFUL! With the cold water, super shallow end, tree coverage, and of course, people watching, it almost made me forget!
I agree that it was not this hot last summer. And, last summer was hot!
yeah...I am counting down the days until I get to take my girls to Upstate NY for my family vacation and then my mini vacation to Montreal once dh flies up a week after us.
nice and cool temps coming my way in a few weeks
