I really think I look like I have a bloated belly... already!!!! It's way too soon. I have to try to hide any belly until after Back to School Night in September. The parents in my district are nuts and will try to pull their kids out of a teacher's class if they find out the teacher is PG. I think I'm in big trouble. I was huge last time, so I can't imagine what will happen this time.
Re: A bulge anlready!?!?!?
I got the bloat much sooner (and worse) this time around, too. ?I'm definitely NOT showing (I'm 8 weeks) but I just feel puffy and none of my fitted tops work.
That will be tough for you to hide by Sept., though! ?Good luck with that. ?

Yeah, you might have a hard time hiding by September.
Even though, I was only 7 weeks at the end of the school year, I think some of my parents knew. There were a lot of end-of-the-year activities in the last week and I was not behaving normally - very tired - sitting down a lot, snacking on Cheerios, etc.
That is nuts about the parents at your school. My principal would never let parents change classes just because the teacher is pregnant.
I was just saying this earlier. I'm not showing, but I am bloated and my stomach is sticking out because of it. I have a dress that has an empire waist where it kind of ballons out and then it comes back to being tighter around the top of my knees. Something like that would hide even a pretty big belly and no one would ever know cause it just looks like the style.
I'm a teacher too, and seriously worried about showing before school is under way. The parents at my school will all want their kids pulled from my class when they find out that I am pregnant, too. Especially because the teacher in the grade below mine had a baby in the spring, so this will be two long-term maternity subs in a row for some kids. (Plus, I am changing grade levels this year, so that is already a strike against me in the parents' minds.) My principal doesn't move every kid whose parents request it, but does move a few kids for a variety of reasons.
I figure if I can hide it for the first couple of weeks, then the parents might think the kids are too established in the class to move them (at least I hope).
I am a teacher too; and think what she means about parents wanting to pull their kids has less to do with her, than it does with who will be teaching their children when she is on leave. At least that is my take, and I agree, that your principal will back you and who ever is your sub. I am in the same position, I am looking to transfer to a school closer to home and wonder when to tell my new boss (If I get the transfer.)
And I am so bloated too... this is my first, so I don't know if it's normal or not to feel this puffy already.
ugh... me too. This is my first though so I don't think it's normal for me to be showing. I honestly just think it's bloat. I've also heard that it could be from things slowing down in your intestines.. eww.
But with me. it's my lower abdomen that has the bulge.. it's really making me nervous lol.
