I've only been to baby showers at people's houses, or at "community centers" like an apartment club house. Many apartments will rent out the club house even if you don't live there, you just have to pay for the rental. So that's an idea for you to look into.
Portland parks and rec (and probably other P&Rs) have "party rooms" to rent, too. They are listed on their website.
There are also restuarants with private rooms, although that requires a minimum order and may be cost prohibative. For instance, Voodoo donuts has a private room. Pix does rentals, too, I think. Those would be fun.
