Twin pack n play- yay or nay?

I keep hearing how it gets 'awful reviews' but I find just as many good ones online. ?We live in a small townhouse and will be here until they are at least 6 months, possibly longer. ? It seems to be an ideal place for them to nap during the day in the early days when I'm downstairs watching tv or in the kitchen, the bedrooms are both on our top level and that's where the swing(s?) will be too.

Having the 2 bassinets in one unit would work well in our living room and then when they're bigger(and our home is bigger) we'd get another pack n play for use as an actual pack n play, but in this house there's not room for 2 pack n plays. ?And I don't plan on moving it room to room at all, as our living level is one large great room. ?If you had one, what was your experience? ?

Re: Twin pack n play- yay or nay?

  • Nay ;) I thought the twin one by Graco (only one I saw) was ugly! I know, function should be more important! But what is the weight limit in the bassinet portion of the twin PNP vs. the weight limit in the bassinet portion of a regular PNP? I compared it once and it didn't seem that much more to me so I opted for a prettier PNP that matched my living room and has a changing spot on it.

  • I would just get a regular one my twins were able to sleep in the basinettet portion together for almost 3 months before they hit the weight maximum and I have chunky monkeys.
  • I had the twin PNP and actually liked it.  We had the babies in it in our room when they first came home from the hospital, then we used it for naps in the living room during the day for the first 3-4 months.  I didn't have any issues with the weight limit. When they got bigger we took the bassinet part off and still use the regular PNP part for naps (we separate them for naps) and traveling.
