am I crazy to think that I'll like prefolds and covers just as much as the more expensive AIO's?
I am trying to be very economical, so I'm afraid I'm talking myself into prefolds just because they're so much less expensive. But I loved the green mountain diapers site, and they really seemed to be less work than I originally thought!
Do any of you prefer prefolds/covers to aio's? If so, which covers are your favorites? and what about fitted's? Do they really work better than fastened prefolds?
Thanks in advance! I've been lurking on this board for about 6 weeks and I'm really encouraged to go ahead with my EF plans! So many people aren't supportive of it--luckily my mom cd'd and bf'd and made our baby food and she's totally on board and excited I want to do those things too! Thanks so much ladies, can't wait to get to know you more!
Re: So I've been researching CD's for a few weeks....(new here!)
Great to hear you guys like them! What are your favorite fitted's for night time? I could just use these with the covers I use during the day, right?
Thanks so much ladies!!!!
We love prefolds here and I never thought I would. I did the trial through Jillian's Drawers and fully expected to only like the Bumgenuis pockets. I found out though that the prefolds were easier than I thought!
Green Mountain Diapers is definitely the way to go in my opinion. DS still fits in the red edged at 18 months - so over a year now! We mostly use wool covers now, but we really liked the Imse Vimse covers. I think the most important part of choosing a PUL cover, especially in the beginning, is to get one with gussets around the legs since that helps contain the poo. We also use fitteds and like them but they can be a lot more expensive. You might want to invest in some absorbent fitteds or maybe even a few pockets for nighttime.
Good luck!
