1st Trimester

Oh, my changing body!

We just had our BFP last weekend and my breasts are already too large for most of my bras.  Wow!

When did you start getting new bras?  I know this is normal, just a little amazed at the speed with which my chest jumped on board to the baby express! Geeked

Re: Oh, my changing body!

  • Mine went from a full C to a full D in the first week... seriously.  They've stopped now, I think, though.  At least the D is still fitting without yet making a Double-Boob situation.

  • I refuse to buy any clothes until absolutely necessary. I stay at home most of the day so I'll just wear one of DH's ribbed tank tops under whatever I have on, no bra. If I have to go somewhere I'll put on a top with built in support or a sports bra under my shirt.
  • I am a D, and so far those are still working.  But my breasts are feeling larger and I may get a sports bra to sleep in.  If the girls get much bigger, I'll be needing a larger bra.

  • Mine started getting bigger right away too.  I went from a C to a D, but I don't think I have grown much since the first few weeks.  I finally broke down and bought a few new bras yesterday.  Victoria's Secret has 40% off most of their bras, so I got a good deal.

I've been abusing my current bras for now. I finally ordered some bigger ones and they were too big... sigh - back to the drawing board.
  • I think mine have still steadily been increasing in size.  A couple of weeks ago they jumped up, but I am still wearing my same bras.  I was thinking of getting a few cheap ones in case they keep getting bigger. Walmart here I come ;-)

Becareful of sagging, I was advised to get some of the sleeping bras to wear, I got mine from Motherhood, then come in S, M, L, etc.  I got two sizes because you can nurse in them as well.  But I wouldn't walk around all day without a bra.

  • Thanks for the responses.  Unfortunately (or fortunately), I started as a D and now my bras are veeeeery snug.  I am going into new territory here!

I have to dress professionally every day -- I might have to go the sports bra route early!
