- 2/13: u/s #1 - baby boy, due 10/12, born 10/16! ...... 8 lbs 0 oz, 22 inches!

I can't remember - do we have any teachers on this board? I'm especially curious to hear their perspective. My husband, sisters and many friends are so sent it to them as well.

i don't think i agree with that at all.

how about you pass your classes the old fashion way, by studying hard and putting in the work and earning a grade. i get the self-esteem issue, but all the more reason to have them earn their grades.

after reading these replies, I'm not even clicking on that link til I'm home and can let out a scream of frustration b/c I guarantee that will be my sentiment
if you earn a zero, you should get a zero. work harder or get over it.

It's actually scary that "smart" people are considering this when I think of all the ways it's whack. A zero is not a reflection of the student as a person, rather it's an objective scale of effort and comprehension. They'll always be standards of measurement, and the school board that does this is essentially lying to the student.
