Found a diaper changing trick!

I recently posted about how Erica will not lay down for diaper changes and how it's incredibly frustrating. Today she was about to roll over and stand up and I put socks on her hands. She went on her back and just stared at them and tried to get them off long enough for me to changer her diaper! It probably won't work again, but at least it did once! Just thought I'd share that idea!

Thanks! I've taken to just doing standing diaper changes (unless he's poopy of course).

I miss those days too! Diaper changes have gotten out of control - I dread them so much! I change her standing if she's just wet, but we wrestle with the messy diapers! I have to remember she's not so fragile anymore - I get nervous when trying to hold her down long enough to change the diaper!

DH and I usually tag-team the diaper changes.

One entertains while the other does the dirty work.

I never had those days! Even when DD couldn't move, she would scream bloody murder during diaper changes. She'd rather sit in a dirty diaper than get changed. Then as soon as she could move a little bit it started getting to be a wrestling match. Now it's downright impossible.

This only works if your DC can stand on his own.

We've done the sock trick, too. DS is working on perfecting the arched-back, stiff-as-a-board, screeching crying diaper changes. Awesome.

DD isn't too bad but she really only just started so maybe it will get worse but I gave her the sticker that comes off of her wipe's package. It's a big rectangle and it's super sticky
