I have a BOB stroller and I know the recommendation is to wait until LO is 6 months to jog with them. However, I have the infant seat adapter so we can put his car seat onto the stroller. Could I jog with it that way? Has anyone tried this? We often go for walks this way and it seems fine. I was thinking of going for a slow, easy run on well paved sidewalks but don't want to do it if that is somehow wrong. My little guy is 2 1/2 months.
Thanks!
Re: jogging stroller (BOB) question
I LOVE my BOB. I have the infant seat too and probably started jogging when T was about 2. It snaps in just like our gracco stroller, so I feel completely safe. I take him at least twice a week and he loves it. Either goes to sleep or watches everything go by.
I say go for it and enjoy!
They do not recommend running with the infant seat because it could dislodge. also the 6 month rule is also for the infant and concerns over the bumps and trauma to the infant. I am sure it is fine if you are running slowly on a smooth surface but that is what I read about the cocerns of running with an infant before six months....it was a warning somewhere when i was researching the bob before i bought it but can't remember where.
Just went for my run and it was awesome! Just ran slowly and walked some (that BOB is heavy to push!). We stayed on nice flat areas so I don't think it was any bumpier than walking with it. I see you are in CO too...it has been ridiculously hot lately, that is why I wanted to go for a run earlier in the day but DH wasn't here to watch the LO so I'm glad running with the BOB worked.
