Orange County Babies

Basic Baby Care Classes

I am a first time mommy due in August and delivering at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange and they offer a basic baby care class but they are all booked for July. I was wondering if anyone else knew of a similar class available anywhere else? TIA!

Re: Basic Baby Care Classes

  • Hoag also offers a Baby Care Basics class, although they might be booked up too.  I believe most of the hospitals offer a similar class though.  I don't know of any independent companies, if that's what you're looking for...

Good luck with finding classes and best of luck on a happy and healthy delivery! Big Smile

  • I saw on the news that PacifiCord offers free classes and they have a Baby Care Basic Class in Irvine in July.

  • I will be delivering at St Josephs too and I was told at our first trimester pregnancy consultation that there are independant nurses that have their own classes. I would ask your doctors office for recommendations.

Through my Dr. (Dr. Linzey) he recommended classes held at Santiago Canyon College. The instructor is Marcia. 714-545-5900

     HTH!

  • HOAG should still have July open.  I just signed up for the one on the 21st a couple weeks ago.
  • The MemorialCare (Saddleback, Orange Coast, LB) hospitals have them.

She is my child birth class teacher at icu. She is filled with alot of great information. Plus she takes the time to listen to your questions and answers them to her full knowledge. She is a rn and has been in the labor and delivery for over twenty years. check her out.

  • Dr, Linzey is my Dr. too! Thanks, I'll check that out!
