QOTW:
What have you discovered about yourself since you have been TTC?
Don't forget those updates. Who is in the 2WW? When are you
planning to test? O dates? Post those BFPs here!
Whatever you want to talk about!
I try to catch the updates on the check in posts. My apologies If I miss anyone.

Re: *****Weekly Check In----7-8-09*****
Update: getting ready for IVF attempt #3. My P4 test is on Saturday. If O is confirmed, I'll start Estrace that day, and stims around the 18th. ER is looking like it may be around my B-day. Happy 39 to me! I also scheduled a 2nd opinion consult in Aug. with an RE that specializes in DOR/poor responders. I'm hoping he may give some additional insight as to how to get my ovaries out of retirement.?
?
QOTW: I've learned that I'm not as rational and level headed as I always thought, as my emotions have gotten the best of me lately. Normally I'm able to check my emotions at the door. I have also learned that I have a lot of inner strength that allows me to stay on this difficult journey.?
Hi everyone!
I am currently waiting to O. I had more good fluid this month than ever before so I'm hoping that's a positive thing. I have been doing 2 cups of green tea every day. Also taking extra B6 to increase my LP.
NBR, I've been referred to a specialist for my lumpy breasts. I had a mammo and ultrasound that came up clear but every time I go in for a check up, my dr feels a lump he does not think should be there thoughout my whole cycle. I need to make an appt with the specialist for CD7 of my next cycle. Unless I get pregnant this cycle, then they will have to work around that! My dr. is pretty sure it's just fibrocystic tissue but he's just trying to be safe.
I have learned that I am not in control of everything in my life and if this happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it's NOT my fault. I will not have failed. It's out of my control. That's a good lesson to learn!
Have a great week everyone!
Nikki
I should ovulate in a few days, so that's exciting!
I got my first "high" of this cycle on the CBEFM this morning, and last month my peak days were 15 and 16 (today is 12).
What I have learned is that there is a freaking lot about human health/biology that every woman (or every person) should really know but that we aren't taught in school. So, you know... I would say what I've learned is a lot more about how my body works.
Update: It's been the roughest week in this journey so far. DH and I are in the thick of RE testing. I got some disappointing news from my CD2 bloodwork: My FSH is 17. My RE said this does not mean I can't have a baby, just that we need to get to it right away. I was sad yesterday, but am feeling better today. DH had his SA today, so we're waiting for those results. Next week comes a whole lot of tests for me - the HSG, etc.
QOTW: I've learned that reproduction isn't for wimps, but I'm up to the challenge. (most days, anyway!)
I'm in the 2WW, 7DPO, so just playing the waiting game.
Biggest thing I've learned is that EVERYONE is different and it doesn't happen right away. For myself it's that I actually cramp around O'ing.
I'm waiting to O, any day now.
I've learned that I am an incredibly patient person...most of the time and I'm much stronger than I could imagine I would ever be.
This!! Well said :-)
I'm waiting to have a laparotomy at the end of August for a large endometrial cyst on my ovary, as well as to have fibroids removed from my uterus. It's going to be at least a four-week recovery, which means we don't have a chance in hell of getting knocked up until at least October. Quite possibly longer, as I've heard some doctors ask you to avoid TTC for up to three months.
It's kind of weird to know it's July and we may not even be able to try again until the end of the year.
UPDATE:
In the 2ww after round #1 of clomid. Back to the RE tomorrow to get my b/w results, the 2nd HSG results, and the 2nd SA results.
QOTW:
We don't teach young women enough about their bodies and how they work.
QOTW:
What have you discovered about yourself since you have been TTC?
Just because TTC#1 was easy doesn't mean TTC#2 will be the same:(
I'm awaiting a call from RE to schedule an appt. I l/m at the office this morning. So I feel a lil in limbo...not sure to wait to meet with RE or to go ahead and try again (& still meet with RE). I feel like I don't have a lot of time (41 is around the corner).
Hello!
I had my laparoscopy 2 weeks ago so I should be fully healed from that. We couldn't have sex for that long, did last night and I immediately started spotting. Or so I thought. Today I realized it was just my period so I was relieved. But the warnings about the first one being bad after the procedure are absolutely correct. It's been miserable! Anyway - my follow up is on Monday. So I guess in a couple of weeks we'll be hoping to get lucky on the first new try.
I think what I've learned is that is ok to not ALWAYS be ok (or pretend to be).
Update: Waiting to O...again. My last 2 cycles were anovulatory. I just judge by my cycle and CM right now. I get stressed when I chart, so I am trying not to go there just yet. Breaking out the CBEFM next cycle if I don't get a BFP this time. I am taking low dose aspirin and B6 again.
QOTW: I learned what a control freak I really am. I get really pissy if I can't POAS at least once before AF shows. It's like beating the beyotch to the party and stealing her grand entry for me. I have not POAS once this time around, but I am rapidly starting to want to control things again. I am a chart obsessed crazy, so I haven't allowed myself to do any of that yet this time. Next cycle I will use my CBEFM.
Update: I'm still waiting to O. No smiley face yet...I'm hoping it's not an anovulatory cycle. CM seems better today, so I'm hoping tomorrow is the day!
QOTW:
What have you discovered about yourself since you have been TTC?
I've discovered that I didn't know much about my body before TTC and that I don't have much patience...but I'm trying really hard to learn.
Hav2Run--that is the cutest photo ever!!
Update: AF arrived on schedule. Waiting for DH's SA results. Go for HSG tomorrow. I'm not even nervous, because I just want answers at this point.
QOTW: Like everyone else, I have learned so much about my body. I can't believe how much they don't teach us in health class. I have also learned that I am a control freak and have no patience. Then again, I already knew both of those things, but TTC has brought these issues to the surface in full force.
