When should the baby shower be?

How soon is the baby shower suppose to be? I want mine a littler early so that if I don't get something I need I have time to get it but I don't know how soon is too soon. Obviously not right now or in the next month but what do y'all think?

I'm having one at 24 weeks, one at 28, and one at 29. It was just when it was a good time for me and the host. I think whenever you feel like you can fit it in and someone is willing to throw it is fine.

Im having mine in 2 weeks, so I will be 33 weeks, which seems to be pretty common around here. Typically you see a lot of 30-36 week ones unless people have to travel or need to do it earlier.

I dont think it matters when you have one at all, though.

I will be 33 weeks. I will have enough time before baby comes to purchase whatever I don't get at my shower.

I think it's kind of odd to hold the shower too early if you don't have far too travel. People want to see the big belly!

I have one at 32 weeks and one at 35 weeks.

Oh I have a big belly! LOL. The reason I want it a little early (like 25-32 weeks) is cause we all work retail in the family and almost all my friends and we don't want everyone to be stuck at work instead or tapped for money.

my MIL and SIL were asking me about dates awhile ago, they will probably throw it a little earlier than normal since i am due after christmas and they were thinking a month or so before, which would be around thanksgiving which wouldn't work. it will probably be in early november, but i told them whatever they decide will work for me.

My mom is doing mine sometime in October, so I will be around 30 weeks. She is so excited she keeps calling me with games she has found and wants me to pick the invites but I want to wait until we find out if we are having a boy or a girl.

I'm due on Thanksgiving, and my sister said that she'll be throwing my shower sometime between early September and mid-October. My family always throws just one big shower, so it'll include both sides of the family, my co-workers, and my friends. I only have about 4 things on my registry so far (too many choices!), so I'm in no rush.

I'm due in November, but my family is throwing me a shower in mid-August, so I'll be 26 weeks. DH and my schedule is slam packed in September so that's why they went for August.
