Insane that someone would want a person and her child to go into a strangers house to get dogs she knows nothing about.

    Holy bejesus.  Yea, that's a load of crap that the cops can't do anything.  Its standard for them to break into the home after calling the owner first.  IF they can't reach the owner, they use force to enter.  I know this, I watch Animal Cops.

    I just asked DH if they could even do anything. He said it would depend on the situation (they would get an animal out of cars before houses) but more than likely if they tried to break into the guys house the department would be sued so they would leave it to animal control or wait for the humane society to file a complaint.

    By "cops" I meant Humane Society.  LOL!  But yea, they should be doing SOMETHING.
