Summer Fun

DH & I dont want to be stuck in the house with DD this summer.  But its so hot outside and we dont want to keep her out in the sun & heat all day either.  Do you guys have and reccommendations?  DH really wants to take DD to the aquarium in Dallas.  My only concern is that she will sleep through the whole thing!  I guess if anything it would be nice for DH & I.  Smile

    I really want to go to the World Aquarium - might be what your DH wants to do. Even is she sleeps at least you guys will enjoy it! And she gets in free.

    I dont really have an suggestions, I am an indoor girl myself so we go shopping alot, lol - IKEA is fun!

Last summer we really didn't do that much with K because it was so crazy hot. ?I think we did a lot of indoor window shopping and hanging at Starbucks while he napped in his infant seat. ?We tried the pool a couple times but it kinda sucked cuz all the big kids kept splashing us with what my husband was convinced was "pee water". I think you'd get a lot of use out of a tiny inflatable pool with a shade, though.

    ?Wish I was more help. We basically lived like hermits last summer, but we are of the pasty variety and don't do well in sun.?

    We've been hermits the past few months and are starting to go stir crazy.  Thanks for yalls input though!  Window shopping & aquarium, here we come!  Cool

    The area where they read the stories is shaded and it is early enough that it isn't too hot.  I pretty much hold DD and go thru some of the "sprinklers" or dip her feet in the water since she still pretty much clings to me when we're near a pool.  (Hopefully the swim lessons that start this week will help with that!).
