Non Alcoholic Wine?

My friend is coming over tongiht ,and I know for sure she is going to bring red wine like she usually does.. What looks like white wine in a glass? Or is there such thing as non alcoholic wine? I can then have her distracted, have my DH pour me a glass of the fake stuff and proceed wiht pretending it is real wine.. Thoughts?

There is a brand that I get on occasion caller F R E that is non alcoholic. They sell it at my local grocery store. It's actually really good!

I've been drinking non-alcoholic beer - it looks and smells and sort-of tastes like the real thing, but is fine. COuld you switch to beer because it's summer and hot and then drink O'doul's non-alcoholic all night?

I've never tired non-alcoholic wine, but it probably exists.

Or, you could go for 'summer cocktails' and keep asking dh to bring you 'cranberry and vodka' (minus the v) or similar. That way she'll get the real stuff, and you can look like you're participating but not drink.

N/A beer still has some alcohol in it so I wouldn't suggest drinking it all night.

Some "non alcoholic" wines have a small amount of alcohol in them...just look at the bottle. I personally don't like the taste enough to drink non-alcoholic wine so I would opt for the grape juice!

I tried the NA wine my first pregnancy. It was kind of gross, but if all you're looking for is the look of wine, it's a good alternative.

Doesn't Welches make sparkling grape juice? I think it even comes in a "wine bottle," that might work!

My friend had some non-alcoholic wine - may be called freigh? If you just want the taste - O'douls is not bad but that is for beer lovers. They also make sparling ciders that are non-alcoholic. Good luck mama.

I like Sutter Home's FRE wine. It tasts like wine, just sweeter and smoother since the alcohol has been removed. You can find it in the regular grocery store by the drink mixes. The bottles do indicate that it's nonalcholic, though, so you'd have to make sure your friends don't see it. A trick I pulled at a wedding last week though was to have my DH go get my drinks for me, so my friends didn't know exactly what I was or wasn't really drinking.

I'd say so too. Their is the grape juice that comes in a wine looking bottle. I think there is both "red" & "white".
