Does your DH dress your LO?

I don't really care how DH dresses DS, but I think it's funny that he ALWAYS puts DS in a onesie.  Never fails.  When I pointed it out to him this morning, it turns out it's because all the rest of the outfits are in the bottom drawer and he never bothered to look in there.

Ummm, where do you think the non-onesie outfits came from honey?  Or his pants for that matter?  Lol.

How is your DH at getting your LO dressed?

  • He has made some questionable fashion choices but he is good 90% of the time

  • Come to think about it, he really doesn't dress DD. Not his fault since I'm totally OCD about what she wears so I usually just put an outfit on the changing table for him when he's getting her ready. When she first came home from the hospital he asked if he could pick out an outfit and I said go ahead and he picked a cute sleeper...of course it was WAY too big and we couldn't put it on her! Poor guy...maybe that scared him away! :)

  • technically yes...but I lay out his outfits for the week.
  • Every time DH dresses DD he tries to make sure she's wearing orange and blue (he went to Florida and is a Gator's fan).  I didn't realize it at first, but then wondered why she would come out with outfits that didn't exactly match or go together.

  • DH usually puts on a onesie, too! If I ask DH to get an outfit on him because we're goig somewhere, he'll get a real outfit. If he's at home alone, he always goes for just the onesie. All of DS's clothes are hanging, though.
  • dh does a pretty good dressing the girls but I've never seen him put socks on either one since they been born.

  • My H is obsessed with playing dress up with DD.  He gets her dressed every day and changes her outfits 2-3 times as well.  He matches her I love Daddy/Mommy socks to outfits that say that and everything.  I sometimes think he thinks she is a doll.  If it was up to me I would just put her in onesies every day because it's easier to change her diaper then pulling off her diaper covers, shorts, pants or whatever else he has put her in for the day.
  • DH always dresses him in a onsie but that's all I put him him too.  I'm too lazy to put him in an outfit.

  • It gets better when the kids get older....when they can dress themselves & DH thinks the outfits are alright.

One day this spring DD wore leopard print purple pants (like pj pants), with a pink ballet leotard, a sparkly green scarf around her neck and orange jelly shoes.  And bright blue sunglasses.  DH thought this was alright and let her go to school like that.

She came home and I said to DH "So who let Steven Tyler dress Addie for school today?"

  • my DH loves to get our DD dressed and pick out dresses and such for her to wear. he loves getting her dressed up.

However the other day she had a blow out and her shorts got dirty but not her onesie. he took her back to get her dressed and brought her out and said he put another pair of shorts on her. I said "we only have two pairs and they are both dirty". I looked a DD to find that he but bloomers over her onesie thinking they were shorts. it was really cute and funny but i made him go change her. lol

  • DH is a SAHD this summer and I leave before he and DS are awake for the morning.  By the time I get home from work DS is in his diaper and socks, that is it.  Yesterday they surprised me at work for lunch and DS was actually wearing clothes, well a onesie and socks but it was an improvement. DH says this is because he is tired of changing DS by the end of the day. When DH does get DS dressed it is always in sports related clothing (currently Cubs).

hahaha! DH does this to Jackson too. Seriously...this morning he put him in a onesie that was way too small with sweatpants and hideous non-matching socks. Too funny!

Cute!  Now that's a Kodak moment.  I remember my dad letting me wear ridiculous outfits like that to the store with him.

  • We are so lucky.  We have tons of beautiful hand-me-down outfits and clothes given to us as gifts.  I always put dresses or cute little outfits on DD but whenever I ask DH to change her clothes he always always always puts her in the same Clemson onsie.

  • I always wondered how DH can manage to dress himself (and he's super particular about matching and looking good), but will let DD look like a fool sometimes.

  • i heard her crying from the front door....she knows what looks good. she is happy in a good cute outfit (she is my daughter after all) lol..but seriously, he will put her in those pants ANY chance he gets....he calls them her space pants, they are high waisted, tapered and TIGHT with fake ties on the bottom of the legs with fake ruching and give her a high, long butt (like in mom jeans). i dont know where we got them, but they make me laugh

  • He doesn't dress DD. I've tried to get him too but he doesn't want too. I think he's scared he's going to hurt her. lol

DH dresses LO better than I do.  If we go out anywhere, I'm content with LO in a onesie because it's easier for me to change him and he's cooler in the heat.  DH always likes to put him in polo-style onesies and shorts, or rompers or onesies with overalls.  If there were changing stations in men's restrooms, I think he'd be jumping on the onesie bandwagon.
    I HAVE CHILDREN.

You'd be surprised how many men's restrooms have changing tables.  My H always tells me when stores/restaurants have them.

  • Dh always dresses Lo in khakis and polo or button down shirts just to go to the grocery store or his parents house. Oh and he never put shoes or socks on him. I on the other hand love throwing an onesie or romper on LO.
  • DH refuses to put anything on DS but a onsie. He hates when I  put pants, socks, and shoes on him. He says that since DS is a baby he doesn't need more clothing that that. Even when were going out, nothing but a onsie. He'll even go as far as to undress DS while I'm getting the diaper bag packed.
  • He doesn't. If I go out in the morning to run errands I'll come back late in the afternoon and DS is still in his pj's.
  • Once in a blue moon! He did this morn & put her shirt on backwards.  He also puts on the "sporty" outfits if he gets a chance.
