Has anyone started taking this supplement?? I know the OB nurse mentioned that I should get this to take but I havent yet and wasnt sure when I should start taking it. My prenatal doesnt have DHA already in it.....
I've been taking it since day one; but even if you start later...better late than never. Don't feel bad for not knowing sooner; just go forward. CVS has a generic Expecta that is as good and less $$.
I take CitraNatal Assure- Its 2 pills a day Prenatal & DHA.. the DHA does not contain fish.. Which i find it kind of nice because it doesn't leave you that nasty fishy taste.. life'sDHA?, a pure, pre-formed, plant-based DHA.? This pure source DHA eliminates the worry and concern that can come from fish-based Omega-3 fatty acids, which can contain trace levels of mercury and PCBs (poly-chlorinated bi-phenyls).

Come on ladies, be nice, she was just asking a question that she didn't know the answer to. With that, my PNV has a plant-based DHA in it along with a stool softener. It's called PreNexa DHA, it seems to be doing its job. Our little boy is in perfect health so far. If you go to their website, you can get a $5.00 coupon off.
i took my pregnancy test in the target bathroom lol ....so, i came out went to the vitamin aisle and got me a bottle of prenatal vitamins and expecta (dha) that was about 2 days after i missed my period.

Ummm, I agree with KB0426. You must be living under a rock if you haven't heard of DHA supplement by 19 weeks.
I've heard of it just didnt know what week you should start taking it - no need to flame!
Don't mind them. Some just look for reasons to flame and be snarky. Just start taking it now, and try not to worry about not taking it before now.
