I am 9 weeks pregnant...the baby is behind my pelvic bone. You are not touching the baby- you are touching my fat. I am extremely irritated with the fact that because I am pregnant you think it is ok to touch my stomach- annoyed enough to make sure that the next person who touches my stomach is getting their stomach touched right back, along with a nice fat jiggle to go along with it.
Keep your hands to yourselves.
Thanks,
VMGETL
Re: Dear Tummy-touchers:
Who has been touching you? I would punch them. I am not a touchy-feely person to begin with though.
I'm sorry!

We joke (ok - half joke) that we can tell this baby is mine because on the monitor when the wand pushes into its personal space a little hand or foot goes up and punches back. (Which is going to be fun for mommy later)
Baby needs personal space.
Mommy needs personal space.
Touching people without being invited is rude. Anyone who does that to me will get their hand smacked. Unapologetically. Even family.
I read in my pregnancy calendar this funny quote. I think you'll like it.
"Rule #1 if you touch my stomach you must rub my feet also. No exceptions"
haha if this were true, we'd have a lot less tummy touchers.
My mom did that when I told her I was pregnant, I was 7 weeks... I smacked her hand and said you're not allowed to do that until after 15 weeks... and only if I say!! I'm not a big touchy lovey dovey person except with my husband!
OMG I almost peed - I love how you said you'd touch them back with a little jiggle. LMAO! Please do it and report back, so I can laugh some more.
Belly touching right now is STRANGE!
You would be amazed at the reaction I get when someone says, "Can I touch your belly?" and I say, "Only if I can touch yours!" They just step back and look at me all funny. Hey, it's my belly! You can see the baby when it's born and if you won't be around when it's born then you're probably not someone I would want touching me anyways
OK, maybe I'm just a mean pregnant woman but come on! You don't touch other people's body parts...
I would seriously flip the eff out if some lady at Motherhood touched me. Your neighbors and coworkers are bad enough...
I have a general "don't touch me vibe" that I hope overrides anyone's urge to touch my belly.
I feel your pain! The same thing has been happening to me!! And half the time I don't even see the hand coming to swat it away! I think touching back with a jiggle is an excellent idea!
I'm thinking that when I have a hardcore bump, fine. Until then, however, back off....
