Mine takes very inconsistent naps. I have used Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and it really helped, but I think they are still young enough not to have formed a routine. Sometimes he only sleeps 15 minutes, but today he slept from 9-12 at daycare. Its just never the same.
DD is 16w. We have active awake times followed by 3-4 naps about 1-2 hours each, usually 1.5-2hrs. She wakes up between 6 and 7am, is awake for about 45 minutes before she crashes for up to 3hrs. After that, we run in 3 hours cycles of: wake, eat, change diaper, play (play mat, read, soft toys, go to the back yard and watch the dogs, get the mail, etc.), swaddle, pacifier, and nap.
I do still have to go in to her room frequently to replace her paci, but usually she just lays her head back down to nap when I do.

UGH, at least you get 1-2 hours, DS is also 15 weeks and I have been getting 30 min MAX 4-5 times a day the past couple weeks. I called the pedi to ask about it and she said keep with a consistent bed and wake up time and the naps should kinda fall into place. HTH
My DD is 12wks old and was an awful napper until about 2 weeks ago. One of those babies that needs help sleeping.
I just recently bought Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child. Very helpful! The best advice for us is to not have periods of wakefulness longer then 2 hours. Also to use the same methods of soothing every single time. I also used a very mild form of CIO. I would let her fuss (not cry) for a little bit. After a while I would go in and put her nuk back in if necessary. Sometimes (depending on how upset she is) I will pick her up and rock her. Just enough to settle her back down. Might be a bad habit but it works everytime.
She now has been sleeping through the night, 8-12 hours straight! Takes 2, two-three hour naps (usually around 10 and 1:30) and a brief cat nap in the early evening. Usually around 5:30, wakes around 6:30. The time of day she naps is still pretty inconsistent (depends on when she wakes in the morning) but the length of her naps is at least two hours. She's generally on a 4 hour schedule. Good luck!
We have a consistent bedtime routine and wake up. He is in bed at 7pm & wake up between 6/615am. He was always a really good napper in the morning when I was on maternity leave but since i've gone back to work his napping is out the window. I have Healthy Sleep, I just looked through it and got some tips that I will try out starting Saturday. Luckily he is only in daycare three days a week so I can do some nap training for 4 days before having the daycare has to follow the routine. I just need to get him into a napping routine as oppose to letting him sleep where ever.
Re: 15 week old & napping
When you figure it out, please let me know : )
