Success after IF

Recommend your swing!

The one we registered for (Arm's Reach Cocoon) arrived today and we discovered it's not motorized; more of a hammock. That definitely WON'T work...so we're venturing to the burbs and BRU later this week (will probably have to BF in the car in a parking lot a few times since he eats so often - so fun!) to get a new one and I'd love recommendations. Thanks!

P.S.) Sorry I've been MIA lately; our feeding/supplementing/pumping/dr. appt schedule doesn't leave a lot of computer time but I'm still lurking via ipod pretty regularly while BFing.

  • G loves the FP Little Lamb swing......well not today, but every other day she sleeps in it-- today she is feeding every 20 minutes for 4-8 minutes at a time to see how long it takes me to completely lose my mind .....she is fussing again so I better run.

  • We have a FP travel swing...the 'aquarium' series. I like it.

Also, BRU usually has a 'moms room' to feed in if you'd prefer that over your car  =)

  • fisher price rainforest 3-1. the seats come off for use as a infant chair and toddler rocker. we use it right now for our twins (10months) to sit in as they take their bottles. they'll use it up until they are about 3. one of the best things we got!
  • yes the mom's room is a great place!

we have the boppy rock in comfort swing.  it's technically a travel swing so it sits low to the ground but doesn't take up much room at all.  it also folds up for easy transport!

  • We also have the FP rainforest because it plugs into the wall instead of batteries.

  • We have the Fisher-Price Zen Collection Swing.  We purchased it because(1) it swings back and forth and side to side (2) it plus in to the wall or takes batteries AND (3) the seat is removebale and can be used as a bouncy seat.  I like it because it plays spa like music and I like the colors.  R naps in it during the day.  She likes it so far!

  • oh I forgot to mention --  I don't think they sell the "Zen Collection" at BRU (I could be wrong).  I believe they sell it at some Target stores.  We purchased ours at the Right Start during their going out of business sale.
  • I have the Graco Sweet Peace swing and dd loves it. You can turn the seat in different positions so that she swings side to side or back and forth.  It has a ton of different sounds.  It vibrates.  It also will play your MP3 player.  It plugs in, but the vibrating part needs batteries.

We have the Sweet Peace too and LOVE IT! DD uses it daily and almost after every feed just so that she sits up and doesn't spit up. She loves the vibrating seat.

  • One thing to consider....some swings have the tray thing with small toys on it. Some trays are removeable while others are not. I emoved ours and have not yet used it. I noticed a friend of mine with one that won't detach keeps it up all the time...just something to consider.
