Man, I guess this is what I get. Just because I don't order an alcoholic drink at dinner with friends, they have to ask if I'm pregnant! LOL. I have anxiety whenever I go out to dinner with a friend I haven't hung out with in awhile and they wonder why I don't participate in happy hour! Last night I came up with the excuse that my tummy was upset from all the 4th of July weekend festivities. They can infer what they like from that, but it seems like they automatically thought I was hanging over still! LOL. I guess I didn't realize how much I drank until people pointed out that me not drinking was unusual. 3 more weeks til we anounce our LO on the way. I think I'll just reject all dinner invites until then.

Oh, I knew I was going to have this problem from the get-go. When our friends get together, alcohol is always served, and I always partook.
I faked it with sprite with lime for awhile until we were ready to tell them. Then I was drinking water on July 3 at a friend's party that didn't know yet, and of course someone had to look in my cup and say "What are you drinking? WATER?! Why!?"
Funny how people care so much about what other people have in their glass.
I have just mostly done the switch-a-roo with my H, so far I have been good, but I did go for mexican with my BF last week and got outed by ordering a lemonade, she was so excited and knew right away, I was planning on telling her that night anyway...
Strange thing is that two people have called asking if I was PG (not even knowing that we just started to try). One I lied and one i told the truth.... Ironcially I lied to the one days after we were out "drinking" a few nights before.
Luckily the cat's out for me is after my NT scan on the 24th so I can end all this.

Looking back, it's probably best just to flat out avoid these situations if you can. And keep in mind, although there is debate on this, if you were to have say, a half a glass of wine or something, it's not the end of the world. Just make sure your DH or whoever helps you drink the real thing while no one is looking!
Lol, my hubby and I had pre worked out a plan for the 4th of July. I had a wine glass and kept filling it, or he would, with grape juice, then walk out and announce one way or another that he'd refilled my red wine
Other than that, I've been telling folks I had too much fun a couple of weeks ago, so I've "grounded" myself for a few weeks... Hopefully they won't realize how many weeks it is - I have 6 more weeks before we're telling anyone.
That's how my parents figured it out before we did the big reveal - because I declined wine at dinner one night.
I've decided that after the baby is born I'm going to mess with people and occassionally just not order a drink.
