Ever since I found out I'm pregnant, it's like my body thinks that I have too much to do to let me sleep. I was wide awake when I tried to go to bed at midnight last night (which is late for me, I'm usually asleep by 10!) and I woke up at 5am this morning, not even tired. What is going on?! Also, when do I have to stop sleeping on my stomach? I have been trying to sleep on my side instead lately, but it is so uncomfortable. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!
Re: Anyone else having issues sleeping?
I think half the reason I'm not sleeping well is b/c my mind is so busy. If it helps... keep a notepad by your bed and just jot things down that you need to remember.
?
But the hormones can mess with your sleep. ?Also, I've been told you can sleep however you feel comfortable until you can't sleep that way anymore. I wouldn't worry about side sleeping yet.
I guess my issue is similar...my body is exhausted, but my brain won't turn off
I've never been good at napping, but I'm getting better. Unfortunately, I have to lie there for 40 minutes to get a ten minute nap going! It sucks.
Yep, same thing is happening to me. Can't fall asleep and wide awake at the buttcrack of dawn. I thought that this was happening because I'm not drinking anymore.
What happened to being exhausted and sleeping all the time?
I'm not much help, but good luck!

Oh the same thing is happening to me. My DH slept on the couch last night so I could get a full nights sleep and I almost did. I woke up at 5:45 for 10 or so minutes. I woke at 7:20 feeling fine!
Belly sleeping is okay right now. Baby will tell you when it is time to quit (but ask your Dr next time you go in just to be sure).
My doctor told me that sleeping on you stomach only becomes an issue when it becomes painful or uncomfortable to you.
As far as sleeping goes, I did that for a couple of weeks but this week so far I have been sleeping like a rock (in some cases that rock being my knee in DH back)
Sleep on your stomach as long as you feel comfortable. Once you can't do it anymore you will miss it...
