what is the going rate for a sitter/nanny?

DH is a SAHD but now getting some freelance work (yeah!) he is able to do all from home (yeah again!). We're looking to bring in a college student to watch DS for 2 afternoons per week so DH can get some work done. I have NO idea what the going rate for this kind of service is in our area. Any informtion would be helpful!!

I would say around $10 an hour.

When I was interviewing nannies most of them wanted between $12-$15 per hour.

However, if it's a college student and it's only part-time, you may be able to get them to take $10 per hour.
