*SO* tired of sick kids

Ugh.  I feel like I've been on quarantine FOREVER now.  If it's not one girl with the sniffles it's another with a stomach bug, and I really don't want to be that mom exposing everybody else to the stuff we're infected with.  I've missed more playdates and birthday parties in the last couple months, and it is driving *me* insane, much less the girls.

I think the latest illness is payback for my DH and I planning on taking in the fireworks by ourselves last night.  Huh?   The girls were Exhausted from vacation, and MIL had invited herself over for dinner, so we figured we'd put the girls down and then run down to the downtown fireworks and some drinks by ourselves.  (We needed a vacation from our vacation!)  Elena proceeded to get sick all over everything right at bathtime.

She was just sick a couple times last night, and was SUPER tired today, and finally noticed after her 4 hour nap that she was also running a fever.  Poor thing.   Luckily J seems to still be healthy though!

Okay, vent over.  Thanks for letting me get it out!

  • Ugh.  I'm so sorry to hear that someone in your family is ill again.  No fun at all!  Hoping those bugs go away for good soon.  On the bright side legend says that the kids who get sick now won't be sick nearly as much during their school years.  Maybe they are just getting super-sized immune systems now and will be those "perfect attendance" kids in school.

  • Thanks guys ~ I get so bummed b/c the playdates, etc are when all of us get to meet with friends.  And of course it is just sad to see your kids feeling down.

Not really running a fever this morning, but can't really tell if that means anything yet since temps are naturally down in the morning.
