I haven't used my moby since ds was about 3 months old and 12 lbs. Even then he would start to slide down and the wrap would loosen after awhile so it seems crazy that I would be able to wear him in it now that he is 21 lbs. I've heard the moby d holds heavier babies. I have a babyhawk but he doesn't care for it. So does anyone wear their bigger baby in the moby?
Re: Anyone use the moby with a 20+ lb baby?
if you like the concept of the moby but want more support you could try selling it and putting the $$ toward a woven wrap (didymos, girasol, storchenwiege, etc) which will hold as much weight as you can handle-seriously. i've wrapped a 6y.o. and worn her around the zoo for about forty five minutes. there are great FSOT boards with good used prices on thebabywearer.com. babyhawks have pretty good resale value over there, too. you may be able to get something new and just clear out the things you don't use w/o even spending $!
Ah, I love the didys. My friend has one and still carries her 3 year old occasionally in it on her back. Super strong!
