Does anyone have any suggestions for infant daycare in the Burbank/Toluca Lake area? We've looked at Montessori, Toluca Crossroads, and Village Church daycare. Does anyone have their kids enrolled there?
We definitely went down this road before we were lucky enough to get into the day care where I work....but I will tell you a few things:
We went to Montessori for a while before we switched...it was okay, but I found out a lot about the school from one of the teachers...she basically said to RUN, not walk, as fast as I can, away...this was right when we got into our current place, so it was okay...THough there are some nice teachers, I'd stay away from there.
?
Toluca Crossroads is okay..we toured too, and I have a coworker with a son there and she likes it, but doesn't LOVE it. ?I would feel safe leaving my daughter there though. ?I found it to be a little dark and dingy myself.
?
Village Church is the winner in my book. ?This is where I'd want my daughter to go if we needed to find something new. ?I know two people who take their kids there and they love it. ?The program is similar to the one my daughter is in, and it is very very good. ?DEFINITELY get on the wait list asap.
?
You may also want to put your name on the wait list for Mary Alice O'connor, though it costs $75, and you may never get in..but worth a shot as it is fantastic.
?
There are two home day cares that I would stay away from, if you would like to know, you can email me: aleithea @ aol dot com?

Re: Daycare in Burbank
I am looking for the SAME thing. I live in the area but work out in Agoura Hills so am looking for suggestions and recommendations.
I feel like there just aren't that many.
