Babies: 9 - 12 Months

pajamas for >9 month sizes

So DS is long, he is about to grow out of his 9 month sleepers so I was going to go ahead and stock up on size 12 at BRU.

I'm so unimpressed about the size 12mo and up in pajamas. Everything is polyester (for flame retardancy, but i'm not sure how suddenly that has to change :) or if it is cotton, they are so tight around the wrists that we can barely get them on.

Help?

Children's Place are my fave, cotton and comfy. I think they go up really high in sizes.?

  • I got great ones in 12 month size at children's place.  They're footed and zip up.  This was the first pair of zip up pjs we got and we love them.
  • DS is in 12 month sizes and we just put him in a onesie to sleep. I also hate the flame retardant jammies; they don't seem comfy. As long as its warm enough in your house, you could just do onesies.
  • Can you buy the 2 piece pajama sets with the feet in them in size 12 months? DD has some of these but they are way to big on her  (we bought them for the winter, we are stocking up now) but they seem really comfortable.  They even have snaps at the end of the shirt and on the waist band so they don't slip as much.  They also don't have wrist cuffs, so they should be much better in that aspect.
  • We use Carters (got them at Kohls) and Children's Place. DS is pretty big and I always have to stretch the wrist and ankle bands until the thread breaks. I do this one time and after that we are good to go. I know I am ruining this part of the pj, but it's my only option.

  • I love love love carters pajamas! They are also having a huge sale right now so if you want to stock up nows the time. Also go to a carters store as opposed to BUR or Kohls because the carter store is almost always cheaper. They all have the same stuff.

  • I've given up on footed PJs, Liev outgrows them far quicker than non footed ones.  I have made some PJs for him but many nights he goes to bed in a onesie and babylegs.
  • I LOVE BabyGap pjs. They're all cotton and come in either two piece or zip up footies. DD's feet get to hot so I plan to keep her in two piece jammies during the summer.

When gap has sales...I stock up so I have both kinds in a bunch of sizes.

  • DS doesn't use a blanket at night (we just finally transitioned from the swaddle) so he needs the footy part b/c he'll pull off socks.

I wish we had a carter's store here.

  • I just bought pjs from Sears for $5.00 3 piece sets.  If you want nice pjs check out Cottontails. They're $20 a pair but are s-o-o soft.
  • Yep, we do the stretch to the point of ripping the threads on the wrists too...
