Pregnant after a Loss

Prometrium ?

Did taking Prometrium make anyone else dizzy/nauseous?

I woke up feeling like this this morning and I feel like it is way too early for morning sickness......

Re: Prometrium ?

  • Yes it makes me dizzy.  I didn't really get to the point of having nausea with my previous pregnancies so I don't know if how nauseous I've been is from the prometrium or the pregnancy.

  • oh yeah i felt like i had serious buzz after taking that pill i told my Doc and she switched me to the insert which like the pill still make me ridiculously tired but no more dizziness.

  • It made me super dizzy/nauseous when I started taking it (early in pregnancy) but as the weeks went on my body must have gotten used to it and those symptoms subsided.

I had to use the suppositories twice a day and this helped me:

morning dose- I would wake up around 5AM to insert and go back to sleep for another 3 hours

Evening dose- right before going to bed

This ensured I would be sleeping through any side effects

    Good luck
