in the country today.
Oh merciful heavens. It is glorious. You can shop while walking around with a glass of wine. There are aisles and aisles of amazing organic and local foods, rows of chilled organic and local beer, an area outside where you can dine, seven neighborhood-themed eateries, mix and match cookie and trail mix stations, express checkout lanes with a screen that directs you where to go, a bath-salt bar, a line of frozen children's food, a cosmetics makeup counter, a lounge area with free WI-FI, a stage for music and presentations, a coffee and beer bar, and tables overlooking the river outside.
It is 75,000 square feet of pure bankruptcy waiting to happen :P
Re: So I went to the third largest Whole Foods
It is in Chicago. They just opened it in May, so it is brand new.
Did you go to the one on the Gold Coast? I never go there. Everything is even MORE overpriced.
More Green For Less Green
I avoided the Gold Coast at all cost...unless we were going out for Sushi and the ex was paying with his Gold Card.
I don't know if I ever told you that I almost married $$. I fell in love before I knew he had money but I left when I realized that $$ was more important to him then I was.
But...about Whole Foods. In the thread earlier someone said that they would rather shop at WF then TJs because of their philosophy. In reality both are big business and WFs actually has had really, really bad business practices. Neither are great to shop at. If I could afford it I'd only shop at my local co-op so that I could really talk with my pocketbook.
But alas...I did not marry the rich guy. I married for true love, lumps and bruises and all. So I shop whereever I can to get the best bang for my buck.
That's really nice of you! DH and I drink cow's booby juice as well (giggling), but Lili refuses to touch it, so I wanted to try out hemp milk. She likes it, so we'll probably continue with it.
BIP, but we love hemp milk here. DH is the biggest fan actually.
I will say that everyone I met in Gold Coast was super sweet. I just couldn't afford it. LOL
I won't :O) I must just have bad luck. I'm sure that there are nice Gold Coasters (I assume you are one of them?), but I always manage to meet the jerks.
omg sooooooooooo jealous. soooooo want. sniff.
we have a ghetto wild harvest turned wholefoods 30 mins away and a nicer 'real' whole foods 45 mins away but it's just not convenient... le sigh. so jealous.....i used to live in cambridge and had two whole foods (one within walking distance!!!) and i swear it's what i miss the most... sniff.
