Dh bought me diamond earrings for Mothers Day 2yrs ago. I loved them and wore them every day for those 2yrs and just noticed today that one was missing. I know I had them both last night. I figit with them (pushing the backs on them) every so often during the day and went to do that and found it missing. I could cry. I know its just a "thing" but I had always wanted a pair and dh thought to buy them for me by himself. (only time that has ever happened) He gave them to me the mothers day after the girls were born. They were almost a year old. He wrote me a card telling me how great of a mother I am to our 3 babies. It was so sweet.
Plus I really REALLY wanted to save them and have a ring made for each of the girls for their 16th birthday. Now I only have one. I think this is why Im so upset.
Re: :( I lost one of my diamond earrings.
I am so sorry. I am not a big jewelery person but I get attached to pieces my husband has given me and also a heart necklace from my mom.
I hope you find it. And when you do, can you get them changed into screwbacks? this way you won't have to worry!

OOh, I didn't know earrings could be screwbacks. I am famous for losing jewelry DH buys me so he feels badly and doesn't want to buy me any now. But it's not like I misplace them, I wear them and things happen. I'm a teacher and have 2 kids, and we don't go out nice a lot.
What I came in here to say was that I have taken to saving up my money and replacing earrings/chains if they get lost/broken. It costs a lot but I hate not having something DH gavce me and for some reason I still feel like it's the set he gave me even if I had to replace one.
They may be covered under your homeowners insurance.
That stinks
You never know, you may still find it - just keep a sharp eye out (and praying to St. Anthony never hurts!)
DH just bought me some beautiful diamond studs for our anniversary and I am terrified of losing them. Luckily they have the screw backs...a bit off a PITA to put on and take off, but they feel a lot more secure.
So sorry! I lost one of my new earrings that I got for Mother's Day a while ago. DH was leaving for a party with DD#1 (DD#2 was sick so I stayed home) about a 2 weeks after I lost them as I shut the door something on the steps caught my eye. It was my lost earring! Check your steps?
Hugs to you.
