Ovulation question

I had my CD 13 ultrasound monday and had a 13mm follicle. The nurse said I should ovulate any day. I have been using OPT but it hasn't said I have ovulated. They actually have never said I have ovulated for the past 6 months.

My question is can you produce follicles and not ovulate? From what I have read this seems to be the case. If this is true, I am guessing this is why we haven't gotten prego. What would the next steps be? Our treatment appointment with our RE isn't until the 22nd and I want to be prepared.

 Thanks for your help.

  • OK that is what I thought. I have had my HSG, DH has had 2 SA, and I am going to have my progestrone blood work done on Tuesday. Our appointment on July 22nd is for our results and next steps.

How do they tell if I ovulated?

  • Your progesterone levels will tell whether or not you've ovulated. Mine showed that I don't ovulated, even after producing follicles.

Not necessarily true. I know I ovulated this month based on BBT AND the corpus luteum they saw on transvag US a few days later. My 9DPO progesterone was only 3.8... but I did ovulate. Apparently just not "well", whatever that means.

We'll find out in a couple of weeks after the rest of this months testing is done.

OP - good luck at your treatment appt.
