Can I have one of these!?!?! I really want one and I am SO NOT ONE to eat bad food but I WANT ONE! hahahaha I know you can not have soft serve icecream....but has anyone else had a frosty!?!?!

OK, I must have totally missed the boat on not having soft serve ice cream??? Please fill me in.

I had a Frosty a month ago and it was sooo tasty. I don't think anything bad has happened to the baby as a result.

It has been in a few book I have read about not eating soft serve icecream due to the bacteria that builds up in the machines. One of the doctors I work with who was preggo was against eating it, but I am like whatever, I WANT ONE NOW! haha

soft serve ice cream = same risk as lunch meat, etc. Machines are not cleaned well and listeria, etc. easily grows so pregnant woman are often told to avoid it.

It(soft serve) has the same risks of carrying listeria as things such as lunch meat.

OP- Eat it if you want or don't. That's your decision.

i have not had any soft serve, but thats just because im OCD about the stuff that we arent supposed to have/do. Have one of you want-its a decision you can only make...

i *really* want a strawberry sundae from DQ, though...lol!!

I've had several frosty's throughout my pregnancy...and so far my baby doesn't show any signs of extra limbs or anything...

If you want it, go for it...I'd just make sure you get it from a place that's fairly clean, if you're worried about listeria...

I ate a few frosties until I also ordered a chicken sandwich and found a beetle in my lettuce. Now I am off Wendy's FOREVER. It was super gross.

Thank you SO much for posting this!! I was wanting something this afternoon but not wanting to go out to get any ice cream. and just remembered of a frosty that I bought the other day and put in the freezer. YAY!!!!!! ITS DELICIOUS!!!!!

I try to avoid softserve most of the time, but I have had it a few times and not gotten sick. I would REALLY like a frosty!!! I asked my doctor recently if I could eat mayonnaise recently b/c there was raw eggs in it - and she said she thought that once in a while was fine, and I feel like I was able to relax more about food after that and I have felt saner

i've never heard of not eating soft serve! sounds crazy to me! i've eaten it..along with deli meat!

Same here. I guess I'm not up on the rules of pregnancy. My OB never told me what I shouldn't be eating. And I LOVE soft serve, especially choc/van twist!
