s/o blankets (SO vent)

SO (especially after having a beer or two or three) insists on bundling DD up like there is a snow storm in her crib.  He has her laying on a fake sheep  tummy time blanket with a receiving blanket on top and two receiving blankets covering her.  I need to have the smothering/suffocation talk with him tomorrow morning and introduce the sleep sack so he will stop treating her like an eskimo.  He swears she is cold all the time when last time I checked it is 80 some degrees outside and 70 inside.  Thank goodness he finally set up the angel care monitor!

    Tellhim that over heating is one of the leading causes of SIDS. DS sleeps in a sleep sack with NOTHING else in his crib and his celing fan on low. Tell him to cut out the booze and bundle. Seriously not cool. No pun intended.

    Why is DH taking care of your daughter after a few beers? DH and I have the other one take care of LO if we've been drinking.

    i was making dinner and just finished feeding her and he just got home from work, had a beer or two, and was holding her.  She fell asleep so he put her in the crib.  I have a loft apartment and could see/hear her the whole time.  I think he means well, but is just kinda clueless about things.  He has teenage sons and thinks that everything is the same as when they were little (sleeping on tummy's, not waking for feedings).
