daycare/birthday question

DS turns 1 in december (a long way off, i know, but i'm a planner) and we're starting to think about his 1st birthday party. we're trying to find a place where the kids (we have a ton of nephews) would have something to do and are leaning towards a pool party. our daycare provider (in home) has 3 girls (11, 8, and 2) and they all treat DS like family. so here's the question - should we invite daycare provider and her family to his birthday party? i think the kids would have a good time playing and i would love to have them be part of a fun experience.

what do you think? invite or no? and what about gifts - can i tell them no gift (clearly i don't expect them to bring him something!)?

Re: daycare/birthday question

  • i would invite them - and heck, let them bring a gift...unless she babysits for free :-)

    Ditto.

And did you say you are planning a pool party in December in Wisconsin??  Brrr.

  • i'm searching high and low for a reasonably priced INDOOR pool. Smile
