So, my DH is a bank manager, so he has off on all of the bank holidays when daycare is closed. However, the banks here are open tomorrow, and closed on Saturday, the 4th. I am just wondering if anyone elses daycare centers are closed tomorrow.

Re: Daycare closed tomorrow?? Anyone else?
Yes, mine is. I'm off anyway on Fridays, so my DS is home with me.

lol...DH and I both found out we had the day off (working at the VA), and were making plans of fun stuff we were going to do together. Then we found out daycare was off too, and most of the things (like going to the movies), aren't going to work out if we have DS with us.
Yes, ours is closed that week, too. DH has a sister who is in college, and she helped us a lot that week last year.
Yes, ours is closed.
Yes, ours is too.
I'm not mad about it though. Hey, why shouldn't the daycare employees get the day off along with the rest of us?
Ditto.
Ours was closed for around 10 days during that time last year. We went to my parents on Christmas Eve, and left DS there for Christmas Day and the day after, then went back and got him over the weekend. The next week, we hired one of the teachers at the daycare to come out to our house for four days, and I had New Year's Day off.
Ours is closed tomorrow, but it's affiliated with the federal government, so we knew it'd be closed and neither one of us works anyhow. It's open all non-federal holidays, except that it's closed for a week in July this year because they're doing building renovations. I thought we'd be taking a vacation that week because I didn't want to "waste" my days off sitting at home. As it turns out, my sister is unemployed until August, so we're going to pay her to watch him for a week.
Ours is closed. DH and I both have the day off too, so we're looking forward to hangin' with DD!
They're closed for I think two weeks at Christmas. (They follow the local public school calendar for holidays during the school year.) But they do offer extended care on most of those days -- none of the preschool stuff that they normally do, just informal fun stuff. Since we already pay the flat rate to get extended care in the afternoons (school ends at 2 PM, extended care goes till 6:30), we basically get those extra days for "free," so it works out well for us.
