Today is my 'due date' appointment!

Hi girls - I haven't posted much lately, but today is my 'due date' appointment (because the 4th is a Saturday)...and I'm having my first internal exam!  I don't know why - but for some reason I'm nervous about it.  Honestly - I don't think this kid is going anywhere anytime soon!  I feel better today than I have the past few days & I've been really lucky to feel pretty good since after the 1st trimester.  I know the little one will come out at some point...but I just wish I knew when! 

Anyway - anyone out there have an internal exam experience that 'wasn't so bad?'  I hope so.  Of course it also doesn't help that all of a sudden last night after weeks of constipation I now have the opposite problem.  Sorry for the TMI - but I just think today will not be pretty! :)

    Honestly 2 of my 3 internals were not bad at all. My first when they also did the strep B test felt just like a normal pap. My one this week was also fine and just a bit uncomfortable. I didn't have any spotting or cramping either. 2 At 37 weeks, I had a different dr and it was more painful with spotting and cramping afterwards so I guess it all depends on the dr. It was exciting finding out if there was any progress. Good luck!

    well the 'opposite of constipation' could mean that baby is coming soon, your body will clean you out before it goes into labor

    Good luck today!  I so hope you have your baby on the 4th!  My DD was born on the 4th (she'll be 3 this year) and it's so much fun!

    Thanks girls for the reassurance!  My midwife is great so hopefully she'll go easy :).  And the 'cleaning out' is very interesting...maybe this kid will be here sooner than I think!  That would be awesome!  Good luck to all of you too!!
