what yogurt for DCs 2+?

Do you still give Yo Baby?  DD has been a yogurt fiend lately, but I was starting to think she was getting "too old" for Yo Baby.  Trader Joes has yogurt that is all natural and hormone free in small serving sizes, but our closest TJs is a couple of towns away, so I only go about once a month.

Anyone have a good yogurt that they like for DC or should I just stick with YoBaby for now?

  • I have been giving DD the yoplait with DHA with Dora on the package.

  • I buy the big tubs of organic stuff for the whole family, and just put some in a small dish for her.  It isn't worth it for us to buy the single serving things because we go through a lot of yougurt.

Also, yogurt lasts a lot longer than other dairy products.  Next time you make a trip to TJ's check the expiration dates.  You may be able to get by with buying a lot if it will last a couple weeks.

  • Depends on the day. DS has a dairy allergy, so he gets O'soy.  I let DD pick hers most times.  She usually picks Yo Kids (still natrual and organic).  I also do Stoney Fields or DanActive.
  • I have been buying him Activia. I just started trying the drinkable Activia.
  • M and I both eat a lot of yogurt, so I just buy the big cartons.

  • I just buy the yoplait individual sizes because we never eat it fast enough, but she loves it compared to the kid yogurt I see in the grocery store.
  • I still give Yo Baby
  • I give stonyfield farms organic whole fat vanilla yogurt. I still think it's important for them to get healthy fats at this age (or any age!) so I try to stick with whole fat unless I get it super cheap for another kind. You can find it at any store--it's who makes the yo baby.

This.  although, I've been thinking of switching it up once in a while.

  • SIL gives her kids YoKids but I can't find it in any store around me.  We do either YoBaby or Stoneyfield lowfat or whatever organic yogurt I can find at BJs.
