big night ... and now it's ruined NBR

i ahd a big special romantic night planned and then the fire pager goes off and DH goes out the door and now probably won't be back before i go to sleep ... Crying

    I  know the feeling. I grew up in an EMS family. I dreaded hearing those pagers. I am sorry your night is ruined.

    not this weekend ... we're goign toa picnic and then to my parents' house ... boo to this .. i really just feel like throwing the pager out the window ... especially when it goes off at 2am ... like 20 minutes after i fall asleep ... i can't deal ... and my MIL was here and she had really bad gas ... Ahhhhhhh ... she stopped by (called first) to drop off a baby blanket she found today ... how excellent (dripping sarcasm) ... aside form the fact that it's  not even black white or gray like i want the nursery to be ... sorry now I'm ranting ... ahhhhhh just need to vent my frustrations .. thanks for listening to a crazy and frustrated pregnant woman.

    Oh I hate it when stuff like that happens. I planned this night for DH once but his officer decided they were going to have a field day in the shop and didn't get home until 11 that night! I hope you get to reschedule!

    That sucks. :o(  I feel your pain too - I'm a mortician, so I get called out at all hours as well - I've had many-a-holiday at work . . . .

    Aww I feel for you! This year DH was supposed to be home from a field on on my bday and the rain didnt get him home till the next day booooo for pagers and field ops

    Sorry your honey had to leave!  Maybe you can sneak some alone time in at the picnic, like a nice long romantic stroll!
