2nd Trimester

? regarding a friends pg

alright, my friend and I are both pg around the same time, great. they keep moving her due date. she was due in late november at first, then she had her next appt and they moved her DD to december 4th, NOW she had her BIG us and they said she was now due dec 20 or somewhere around there.  that just seems weird to me.

has anyone else heard of anything like this? i feel kind of bad for her since she feels like she is further back everytime she goes to the dr, like she is going to be pregnant forever.

also they told her with her new dd she is 16wks 1day. they THINK the baby is a girl, but they still arent sure if she is even that far along yet, so they are not sure.  weird.

Re: ? regarding a friends pg

  • That happened to my neighbor.  In the end, the bumped her back up.  She had the baby right in the middle of all the DDs.  It was a mess IMO.

  • I think its time for her to change doctors
  • My friend's was moved three weeks, then back again. The farther along in a pregnancy, the bigger the margin of error for the due date. My original due date was confirmed at my 20 week one, but the nurse said it had a 2 week margin of error.

I bet the first two dates are much more correct.

actually i went to the same dr for my first two pgs never had a problem like that. kept my same dd the whole time. it just sounds so weird to me.

  • Did the doctors move her due date or did she?  If the baby was measuring small, then maybe she just interpreted that to mean her due date was later.

  • My best friend is also pregnant right now and she was three weeks off.  She went in for her first appointment at 6 weeks and was told she was actually 9 weeks along.

I on the other hand took my BBT and charted when TTC, I know exactly when I ovulated and it matches up right with the Dr.'s estimate.

  • I sounds a little odd because if she had an u/s early on that is when they give a due date as the u/s later on it is harder to be sure of the due date because all baby's grow at different rates.
