TMI....Runny poop?

A little over a week ago Rylee spiked a fever out of no where and started having runny poop. The fever went away two days later, but she still has the runny poop. I called and talked to the nurse of the nurse line and she told me that it could last for up to a week, but it has been going on a bit longer than a week.

I have cut back on the milk, she only gets yogurt once a day and I have been loading her up on bananas and applesauce, and still runny poo. How long would you let it go before calling the pedi again?

Nothing else has changed she is acting normal and drinking lots of water, no other symptoms of what this is all about. She is pooping the same number of times a day, but it is just real runny.

Re: TMI....Runny poop?

  • The last time DS had the flu, the pedi said it could last up to 10 days.  This was still when he was on formula, so the pedi suggested switching to soy.  I'm not sure if this is what helped firm things up, or if things had run their course, but you may want to try soy milk.  If she still has wet diapers and is acting normal, I would wait it out a few more days.  GL!
