Got a scare last night (Sex).....

Last night DH and I had sex and he went to the bathroom afterwards and I stayed in bed. He comes back in and says, "Hey Babe?" I could tell in his voice something was wrong. "There is blood". So of course I jump up out of bed and take off my underwear and there is blood everywhere. Just like a period. I have no cramping and he's moving as normal so I am not worried about it and I had a little bit of dried blood chunks after I went to the bathroom this morning. I called the doctors office and explained what happened to the nurse and she seemed to think it was OK but wanted to check with the doctor on call to see if I need to be checked out. I'm not worried but it's still scary. It's just a scary thought to think about something bad happening ya know? I should hear back from the doctor with in an hour or so.....

    Happened to me the first time we had sex. A scary thing, but totally normal! Your cervix becomes more vascular with pregnancy, so any pressure can cause some bleeding. You may spot brown today, which is also normal.
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    You poor thing..how scary.  I am sure if your LO is still moving around that all is well.  Keep us posted!  Good luck and I am sending positive vibes your way!

    Ooh, that is scary.  I'd take comfort in the fact that he's moving around like normal.  Are you going to go to the dr. just in case?

    That's happened both times we had sex. (well, the day after) it was so scary but I also have a hematoma so sex irritated it. We are still on pelvic rest. :(

    It is fine! Happend to me this weekend.. I am now on sex restriction for 2 weeks!! Lots of fun!

    I had the same thing happen around 16 weeks.  It just so happened my checkup was the next day.  The doctor examined me and said I had a "crumbly" cervix.  She said it was nothing to worry about although at that time they did do an ultrasound just to make sure my placenta wasn't covering my cervix opening.  It wasn't.  But I'm sure your big u/s would have shown if that was the case with you.
