So, I'm coming to the reality that if I have a 41-42 week baby he *might* be a little on the big side. If he is 10+ lbs, will newborn diapers even fit? I have no experience with this.
Have you doctor's gave you an estimate on your babies weight? My DD was born at 42 weeks and she was 8lbs 5ounces. She wore newborn diapers and premie clothes for a month. I dont think the baby's size will differ that much unless you were expecting a big baby anyway.

When my DS was born, he weighed 11lbs and the nurses had to go to Peds to get diapers to fit him, because the newborn ones were too small. My DD was 9 lbs 14 oz and wore the NB ones in the hospital and size 1 at home.
I think it depends on how big your LO's legs are. My BFF's LO had to go straight to size 1, but she had super pudgy legs. Other friends who's babies were actually bigger could still use the NB sizes b/c their legs were thinner. I don't think you'll know til yours arrives. I've gotten a few samples of diapers, so I figure I'm not going to actually open any diaper packs until we see what fits our LO in the hospital.

My dd had kind of chubby legs.
